Started in 1984 by my father Shri
Subodh Narvekar near Girgaon Chowpatty as a weekly hobby drawing class.
As a renowned artist and illustrator, Shri Subodh Narvekar has authored
more than 200 Art and Craft books for children and adults including
'Grade Examinations Drawing Made Easy' which has received the Best
Book Publication Award at the national level.
Techniques of teaching art as a subject have been developed over the
years keeping in mind the changes in the students' academic syllabus.
Under the able guidance of my father, I and my wife, Hemangi Narvekar
have kept the tradition alive. Hemangi is in charge of Child Art (
Sr KG to IV), while I teach students above Std V and adults. There
are morning and afternoon batches for adults for whom there is a variety
of courses to chose from. Evening batches are reserved for kids. We
have three branches in Kandivli W. New courses like Warli Painting
on canvas, Madhubani Painting, Coffee Painting, Origami for kids,
Foundation Course Advance Drawing, Perspective, Animation, Applied
Art, Paper flower making, and Fashion Illustration have been introduced
over the years. Summer vacation courses are also conducted in the
form of Summer Craft workshop, Warli Painting workshop and Origami
workshop.
